European Road Cycling Championships postponed by year

The 2020 European Road Cycling Championships in Italy have been postponed by a year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The tournament was set to take place from 9th to 13th of September in the province of Trentino in the north of Italy and will remain as the host for the next year.

The European Cycling Union (ECU) said on Saturday that the decision has been taken in full agreement and cooperation with the parties concerned.

The ECU added that options for new dates which will be between the 1st to the 12th of September of 2021. The final decision will be announced in the next few months by Union Cycliste Internationale.
