Italy: Drones to monitor social distancing in Messina amid coronavirus

Messina mayor, Cateno De Luca attended on Friday a test launch of drones that will monitor social distancing amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The test launch was held with the presence of Italian police's Civil Protection Unit. The drones are expected to transmit the mayor's voice, ordering people to stay home.

According to the latest report published by the World Health Organisation, Italy has registered 80,539 coronavirus cases with more than 8,000 deaths.
