President Xi schooled the imperious juvenile delinquent in White House: Scholar

Chinese President Xi Jinping

American political analyst Dennis Etler has said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has schooled the imperious “juvenile delinquent in the White House” on how to deal with the global coronavirus pandemic that experts fear could kill millions of people.

A report from Imperial College London researchers has suggested more than 30 million lives around the world could be saved during the coronavirus pandemic if countries act quickly.

The United States has nearly 100,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus and there have been 1,475 deaths, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker.

President Xi Jinping has said China is ready to help the US with the fast-growing coronavirus outbreak, as Washington steps up its sanctions policy against world countries.

In a phone conversation with Trump, Xi told his American counterpart that “China and the US should unite to fight the epidemic,” the Chinese foreign ministry said Friday.

“Working together brings both sides benefits, fighting hurts both. Cooperation is the only choice,” Xi added.

Professor Etler said, “Like a wise but stern schoolmaster, Chinese President Xi Jinping schooled the impetuous juvenile delinquent in the White House on how to properly respond to the global pandemic, which was fueled by Trump's scoffing indifference and refusal to prepare for its inevitable global spread.”

“But Trump has demonstrated that Xi's lecture will fall on deaf ears. Trump will feign agreement and continue on his disastrous course, condemning the US and the world to a higher and higher level of death and economic destruction than would have been the case if he followed Xi's sage advice,” added Etler, an American political analyst who has a decades-long interest in international affairs.

“Trump has shown a complete disregard for the health and welfare of his country's own people and cruelly continues to apply punitive sanctions on other countries that he targets for regime change, regardless of the negative impact they have on those nation's people when they face an existential epidemic. How cruel and hard-hearted can one be?” he told Press TV on Friday.

“Trump is just the most egregious example of the barbaric ethos of the US. While China which has just overcome an arduous and costly fight against COVID-19, is still licking its wounds, it has spared no effort to extend aid and experience to 89 countries throughout the world, friend and foe alike. Yet the US continues to wantonly attack China's good graces,” he said.

“The US has nothing to offer the world but death and destruction, while China offers a lifeline to all those in need,” he concluded.
