Ever wonder how big companies manufacture complex products such as computers, smart phones, or even cars? Well, it is mostly thanks to OEMs.
OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer. This term refers to those companies that produce parts or equipment that can be assembled on a finished product, by another company which provides a marked item with its own brand.
These companies are usually referred to as parent companies. In order to understand how OEMs operate, we decided to visit a manufacturer of auto parts here in Tehran Province; this will give us an idea of how these vital companies function within Iran and how they help support the automotive industry as a whole.
