Beginning with the NBA, and the current Eastern Conference leaders, the Milwaukee Bucks, have lost for the first time in 18 games, after suffering a 120 to 116 loss at home against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks were the better side in the opening quarter, and overpowered the Bucks 36-22, and despite their 11-point loss in the 2nd quarter, they took a 59-56 lead into the intermission.
The visitors kept up the momentum and widened the gap to 10 points in the 3rd quarter, before the Bucks got the upper hand in the final quarter, and took it 40-36. However, it was all in vein, as the Bucks suffered their first defeat after 18 consecutive victories.
The Mavericks will host the Boston Celtics on Wednesday in Dallas, while the Bucks will welcome the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
