Queen strips son of royal duties and allowance over Epstein case

Britain's Prince Andrew

To the monarchy’s chagrin the scandal involving Prince Andrew and his friendship with a convicted sex offender, Jeffery Epstein, has been dominating the headlines for months and has now taken a turn for the worse.

In an interview aired on Saturday Andrew dug himself drawing widespread condemnation by demonstrating an apparent lack of compassion for Epstein's victims – which were under aged girls plucked from poverty and pimped out to people in positions of power.

Prince Andrew’s accuser is Virginia Giuffre who has described in detail the day she met him – a story he refutes.

Andrew’s flight logs have been released, all 2000 pages of them, and they show he was on a flight to Epstein’s private Island that law enforcement officials said they could not approach, and victims say was the luxury prison in which they were repeatedly abused. Prince Andrew denies witnessing anything untoward during his years long friendship with Epstein, but says he does regret not ending the friendship when Epstein was first convicted in 2008.

The Queen has distanced herself from the scandal Wednesday by stripping him of his royal duties and a large chunk of his income and he will probably never be called to public service again. Charities and organizations will most probably avoid him like the plague from now. But some would say that’s a small price to pay for what he’s allegedly done.

Jeffery Epstein was found dead in his cell three months ago. The two guards who were supposed to have been checking on him every half hour have been accused of failing to do so, and fabricating log entries to show they had. His cellmate was moved out on the same day and a leading pathologist has said the neck injuries he sustained prove it was homicide. The Prince will be asked to give evidence in the US and if he fails to fly out the FBI might be paying him a visit in the UK very soon.
