New Horizon Conference wraps up discussions

With a general round of applause, the guests of the New Horizon Conference in Beirut all expressed their intention to hold such meetings periodically and form a universal alliance willing to speak independently against what they are calling the US dictatorship.
The influence of both Israel and US radical right on the Trump administration’s policies was a highlighted topic in the conference. Many Europeans considered that it’s not only the Arab and Muslim worlds that need to break free of the shackles of the US, but so does Europe.
The speakers spoke of the US sanctions on the rest of the world and how this can be faced. Some considered that there is already a difference being seen with more resistance groups deterring the aggressive policies of the US and its allies.
The issue of finding a new framework and new platforms where speech cannot be blocked or sanctioned was one of main ideas recommended by the attendees at the end of the forum.
The New Horizon Conference has finalized its discussions, and one of the most significant issues put forth is that there needs to be more practical efforts complementary to the efforts of popular and national resistance movements across the globe.
