EU talking to Riyadh about Saudi-sponsored terrorism

Despite it being one of the West's closest allies, Saudi Arabia has turned an untold number of EU citizens into terrorists through the promotion of Wahhabism in mosques and community groups. Wahhabism is Riyadh's radical ideology.

There have been 45 Daesh terrorist attacks in the EU since 2014. The bloc has just launched the so-called judicial Counter-Terrorism Register.

US President Donald Trump is demanding the EU repatriates thousands of its citizens currently being detained in Syria. These are citizens who joined Daesh. The Brussels press conference was told the EU has no agreed policy on this.

Many accuse the EU of hypocrisy for turning a blind eye to the source of terrorism in order to maintain billions of euros worth of arms sales. The West's aggressive foreign policies also attract a great deal of criticism.

Anti-war activists often make the point that the most effective way Western countries could fight terrorism would be by kicking the habit of destabilizing foreign nations.
