World Junior Wrestling C'Ship: Iran clinch 2 golds, 1 bronze

Over Wrestling and the 2nd day of the Junior World Championships in Estonia, Iranian Freestylers have claimed 2 gold and 1 bronze medal.

In the first-5 weight categories, Amirhossein Maghsoudi thumped his way into the final of the 65kg category after defeating opponents from Romania, Japan, Azerbaijan and Turkey. In the Final match against Russia, Maghsoudi almost lost his 4-point advantage after surrendering to his opponent's Fireman's Carry, but he eventually won the match 8-4 and sealed the gold.

In the 97 kg category, Abbas Foroutan received a bye in the 1st round and crushed his opponents from China, Belarus and Turkey all the way to the final, where he easily won his 2nd consecutive title with a commanding 10-nothing win over his Cuban rival.

Meanwhile, in the 70 kg category, Mohammad Sadegh Firouzpour earned a bronze medal for Iran. Heading into the final day of the event, Russia control the team race with 83 points, ahead of Iran with 67 and Turkey with 43 points.
