Liverpool beat Lyon 3-1 in Geneva to end pre-season

European Champions Liverpool have ended their disappointing pre-season matches, with a 3-1 victory over French Club, Lyon, in Geneva. 

Lyon got on the score-sheet when Memphis Depay scored from the spot, just 4 minutes into the match. 

Roberto Firmino then grabbed the equalize for the Merseyside Reds from close range in the 17th minute.

Only 4 minutes later, Liverpool took a 2-1 lead, when Lyon defender, Joachim Andersen, scored an own goal. Liverpool were hungry for more after the break, and Harry Wilson scored the 3rd goal with a powerful shot.

The result Surely gives Jurgen Klopp's side a morale boost, as they head into Sunday's Community Shield clash with Manchester City.
