Police attack protesting trade unionists in Paris

French police were seen detaining and dragging protesters on the streets of Paris on Tuesday as trade unionist demonstrations resumed, demanding higher wages and reforms to the tax system.

Despite the French government suspending the tax hikes and announcing increases to the minimum wage, protests have continued, many under the 'Yellow Vest' moniker.

Over 2,000 people have been arrested since the demonstrations began and at least 10 have died, mostly due to collisions between protesters and vehicles.
