Trump’s nationalism, rebuked at World War I ceremony

US President Donald Trump holds US flag.

Fiascos and embarrassment appear to have become an everyday phenomenon at President Trump’s White House today.

Fresh off a loss at what was described as a referendum on his presidency, the midterms, Donald Trump is feeling rejected. After all the Republican party has lost control over the House of Representatives, making his job even more difficult. While repercussions of the midterm’s failure were yet to fully pan out, the president traveled to France to take part in a memorial marking the end of World War I.

However, just like Trump’s previous visit to the European country, his presence exposed the cracks in the transatlantic partnership rather than bolster it.
