The Minnesota Timberwolves have topped the Los Angeles Lakers 124-120 at Target Center in Minnesota.
The hosts were better in the opener and took it 36-32. But, the Lakers fought back in the second and won the set 34-28, taking a two point advantage at the intermission.
It was a close contest after the break, and Minnesota managed to finish the third with a one-point lead, and kept the momentum in final quarter to take a four-point victory.
Jimmy Butler scored 32 points for the Timberwolves, while NBA superstar LeBron James bagged 29 points for the Lakers.
The Timberwolves will host the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, while the Lakers will welcome the Dallas Mavericks.
