Clashes erupted in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince on Sunday, as anti-corruption protesters hit the city streets with banners and signs demanding a probe into PetroCaribe administration funds.

Police fired tear gas and faced off with protesters who responded by burning tires to disperse the tear gas.

An anti-corruption social media campaign claimed that funds from the Venezuelan-sponsored oil alliance PetroCaribe were misused by previous administrations.
