New anti-Iran campaign

Morocco has cut off diplomatic relations with Iran, claiming Tehran provides support for the Polisario Front. The Polisario Front is an independence movement in Western Sahara and rejects Rabat’s claims that the region is part of Moroccan territory.  Algeria has traditionally had friendly diplomatic relations with Iran, triggering Morocco to accuse the Islamic Republic and its Lebanese Resistance Movement Ally, Hezbollah of backing the Polisario Front through its embassy in Algiers.

JCPOA at risk?

The nuclear deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany is seriously at risk. US President Donald Trump will decide in the coming days whether to follow through on his threat to withdraw from the agreement. The nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was hammered out in 2015. It was hailed as a great achievement for international diplomacy. But Trump keeps saying it’s the worst deal he has ever seen.
