Nasrallah urges Lebanese to vote for those who fought regional threats

Sectary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, addresses his supporters via a televised speech broadcast live from the Lebanese capital city of Beirut on May 1, 2018.

The sectary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement has called on people from all walks of life to vote for those who fought against regional threats in the forthcoming legislative elections rather than those who turned their backs on them and left them unattended.

Addressing an election campaign ceremony via a televised speech broadcast live from the Lebanese capital city of Beirut on Tuesday evening, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stated that eligible Lebanese voters must cast their ballots in the May 6 elections for those who spared no effort in defending them, and not those who joined forces with Takfiri militant groups in hatching fiendish plots and conspiracies against them.

Nasrallah further noted that the rival Future Movement, led by Prime Minister Saad Hariri, has long failed to respond to public demands, and must be held responsible for impoverishment in southern Lebanese regions, particularly the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate.

The Hezbollah chief then urged the Lebanese people to vote for those “who made sacrifices with their blood to secure the country.”

“Hezbollah resistance movement needs political protection in the face of regional and international conspiracies. Saudi Crown Prince (Mohammad bin Salman) is ready to pay billions of dollars to the United States and Israel in a bid to incite them to another war in the (Middle East) region,” Nasrallah pointed out.

He further stressed that Lebanon needs armed forces, Hezbollah resistance forces as well as firm public support to stay safe and make progress.

“Hezbollah and their allies will address serious shortcomings and make up for mistakes made in the past, God willing,” Nasrallah said.

“Those who stir geographical sentiments in Lebanon are serving the interests of Israel and the enemies of Hezbollah resistance movement. All Lebanese people must take part in the battle of elections,” he concluded.
