Iran basketball team vice champion in 2018 PCU University Games

Iranian basketball players have ended their campaign at the 19th edition of PCU University Games in Belgium, and finished as the runner-up of the international contest.

The Iranian sportsmen went down to a narrow 60-62 defeat in the title challenge against Catalan National University team, and claimed the second position.

The Iranian basketball team also trounced a Russia’s Financial University outfit 10-2 in the third-place play-off and sat in the third slot of the team rankings.

The 19th edition of PCU University Games kicked off on April 25, and finished on April 27, 2018 in the northern Belgian city of Antwerp.

A total of 37 men’s and women’s teams from Belgium, Croatia, England, Germany, Iran, Italy, Lebanon, Russia, Scotland and Spain competed in futsal, basketball and volleyball matches.
