Memorandum of understanding signed between Iran & Turkmenistan on sports

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Iran and Turkmenistan for the development of sports in both countries.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkmenistan to promote sports in both neighboring countries.

The agreement was inked during a ceremony in the Turkmen capital city of Ashgabat on Tuesday.

It was part of the 13 accords that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed in different fields.

Iranian Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Massoud Soltanifar and Turkmen Minister of Sports and Youth Policy Dayanch Gulgeldiyev were in attendance as well.

The MoU reportedly entails exchange of visits between the national teams of both countries, as well as the exchange of sports officials, trainers, judges and experts.

The Iranian and Turkmen sports ministries will also encourage the sharing of knowledge in sports medicine and sports science.
