Russian envoy calls for talks with North Korea

Politicians and top regional scholars have attended a forum in the South Korean capital to discuss opportunities for economic and security cooperation in East Asia and the Asia Pacific region. Russia’s visiting Deputy Foreign Minister, Igor Morgulov, was also present at the forum. He weighed in on Moscow’s increasing concern over the tension fomented by the growing US military pressure and sanctions on North Korea.
