Violent clashes broke out between Sub-Saharan migrants and a group of Moroccans on Friday night near Ouled Ziane bus station in the port city of Casablanca, according to many media reports.

According to local authorities, the incident started at a public park in the Derb el Kebir district, where a few hundred migrants live. Tensions reportedly escalated quickly from both sides, with tires and bins burning and several cars sustaining damage.

Shouts of “Racists” were reportedly heard as police worked to disperse the crowds. There have been no reports of injuries and the cause of the clashes remains unclear.
