Carbon dioxide in atmosphere at alarming levels

The United Nations says the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere in 2016 stood at a record level “not seen in millions of years”. The UN has warned that carbon dioxide is already expediting global warming at an alarming pace and says it is to blame for a series of recent severe climate conditions.
