Iran’s Bybordy wins bronze in 2017 World Archery Youth Championships

Iranian archer Geesa Bybordy has delivered fine performances at the 2017 World Archery Youth Championships in Argentina, and managed to collect a bronze medal at the prestigious international event.

On Thursday evening, Bybordy competed in the women’s compound cadet section at the Monumento Nacional a la Bandera in the central Argentine city of Rosario, and defeated her Mexican opponent Andrea M Becerra Arizaga 142-141 to finish third.

The 2017 World Archery Youth Championships kicked off on October 2, and will run through October 8.

Over 500 archers from 65 nations, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Great Britain, Hungary, India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United States, are competing at the championships.
