Iran trounces Brazil in U23 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship

Iran national under-23 wheelchair basketball team has trounced Brazil at the 2017 Men’s U23 World Wheelchair Championship in Canada.

The Iranian side clinched a 59-47 victory over the South Americans in their fourth match of the tournament at Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto on Sunday.

The Iranian physically-challenged sportsmen will return to action on Monday as they play against the Italian squad.

The 2017 Men’s U23 World Wheelchair Championship started in Toronto, Canada, on June 8 and will run through June 16, 2017.

Twelve countries, namely Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Italy, Japan, South Africa, Turkey and the United States, have taken part in the tournament.
