Iran remains best Asian squad in latest FIFA world ranking
Iran has continued to lead the way in Asia with Team Melli maintaining their position as the continent’s top side in the latest FIFA World Ranking.
The ranking was released on Thursday and despite dropping 2 places to 30th globally, Iran remain ahead of South Korea who are second in Asia and 43rd overall.
Meanwhile Japan, in 3rd, dropped one spot to 45th in the world. 4th-placed Australia climbed 2 spots to 48th, with Saudi Arabia, who fell one place to 53rd, completing Asia’s top 5 teams.
The mentioned teams are currently participating in the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 Asian qualifiers, with the 3rd round set to continue on June the 8th and 13th.
