Reports coming out of Yemen show that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are divided over the impoverished country on which they have waged a deadly war. The UAE is said to be displeased over its role in the war on Yemen. The Emiratis have suffered many casualties which they believe are disproportionate given the UAE's small size and population. 

Silk Road plan to boost China’s global powers

Chinese capital Beijing recently hosted a high-level international forum aimed at promoting President Xi Jinping’s 2013 initiative called “One Belt, One Road”. China’s ambitious plan known as the new Silk Road, would connect over 60 countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa through the construction of roads, railways, ports and pipelines. The plan is seen in the West as part of China’s quest for global dominance. However, President Xi has rejected such claims saying that his initiative is designed to promote growth throughout the globe.
