Naseer al-Omari, a writer and political commentator, says Saudi Arabia is directly engaged in terrorism around the around, citing September 11 attacks in the US and the ongoing Takfiri violence in the Middle East.

“Saudi Arabia directly supported terrorism in 2001. It has supported terrorism in Iraq and Syria," he told Press TV on Friday.

The West, he said, "can see all of this but they choose to turn a blind eye.”

“The West is fueling terrorism in the Middle East, which has made its way to Europe and the United States. Unfortunately, they don’t see this and they lie to their own public,” he added.
