US president-elect, Donald Trump, has caused concern among the Middle Eastern nations because of his hawkish stance towards Muslims and his ideas on foreign policy. During the presidential campaign, Trump even berated US allies like Saudi Arabia and criticized the Obama administration’s acceptance of a nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group.

Scott Rickard, a former American intelligence linguist, said that the American voters who sought an “alternative” voted for Donald Trump, but they don’t know that he has a hawkish foreign policy especially when it comes to the Middle East region.

Rickard said, “This man (Trump) is certainly naive and he certainly has ideas on foreign policy in particular that can be extremely dangerous in the Middle East.”

“He certainly doesn’t understand what’s going on in Turkey right now, he’s very anti-Iranian and he has a tremendous amount of support from [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, which is extremely volatile and dangerous.”

“Donald Trump is talking about taking a position that’s going to reduce tensions with Russia as a Republican, I find that extremely odd because that’s typically the war hawk party, but don’t be fooled by Donald Trump because he is war hawkish on other issues," he noted.

According to the analyst, the “disenfranchised voters” do not understand the facts about the hawkish president-elect.

Many observers believe that Donald Trump is the most unpredictable man to have occupied the position of the US president since the country initiated deploying an imperial policy; so, the Middle East will wait for the future foreign policy of the United States when Trump will take office in the White House.
