Portugal have made it to the final of the Euro 2016 for the first time since 2004 after defeating newcomers Wales 2-nil in Lyon.
It was the Welsh team who started the game as the better side on Wednesday and had a few chances for a goal.
But they couldn’t open the scoring in the first 45 minutes as both sides headed to their locker room at a nil-nil stalemate.
Portugal however found their rhythm after the interval and finally managed to take the lead in the 50th minute through their star player Cristiano Ronaldo who sent an unstoppable header past the keeper to make 1-nil.
3 minutes later, Nani scored Portugal’s second of the night and put his side in the driving seat that led to their victory for the first time in Euro 20-16 inside regulation time.
