France struggling with various challenges ahead of Euro 2016

France is facing political and environmental challenges as it prepares for the Euro 2016 Football Championship due on June 10. Anti-government protests and non-stop strikes in energy and transport sectors have shaken the country’s social order. Heavy rainfall and floods have also wreaked havoc in the greater Paris region, causing damages of more than 700 million euros.
