Here is a round-up of global news developments:

Involved parties in the Syria peace process will meet in Geneva on Monday to discuss the latest developments regarding the truce.
  • Clashes have erupted between Macedonian border guards and stranded refugees at the border with Greece. The refugees were trying to break through a border fence. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd. Several people have been injured there.
  • A British government report says leaving the European Union would have a negative impact on the lives of millions of Britons. The report also warns that exiting the EU would hurt the UK economy. Britons will vote on the future of their membership in the bloc on June 23rd.
  • Iran’s Interior Minister says vote counting in parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections is over. Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli said all complaints will be examined in coordination with the Council of Guardians. He said planning for the parliamentary runoffs will start as soon as the Council confirms the election results.
  • Iran’s Interior Ministry has announced the final results of the elections for the fifth Assembly of Experts in Tehran. Top on the list sits head of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. Tehran’s Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Imami Kashani ended up second and President Hassan Rouhani is in the third place.
  • At least 10 people have been killed in a US drone strike in eastern Afghanistan. The aerial assault targeted a vehicle in Nangarhar province. Officials say the victims were members of Daesh terrorist group, including one local commander. The US military has yet to comment on the incident.
  • Turkey says over 355-thousand people have been internally displaced since violence flared up in the southeastern regions. Officials say Ankara has accounted for all of the displaced citizens. The government has been engaged in a deadly conflict with PKK militants since last December.

Firefighters struggled for hours to extinguish the fire that broke out on the top floor of the building.
