UN criticizes Saudi for continued air campaign in Yemen

Saudi Arabia continues its air military campaign in Yemen.

1. At least seven civilians have lost their lives in fresh Saudi airstrikes in Yemen’s Sa’ada and Shabwah provinces. 

2. The United Nations’ High Commissioner for Human Rights has criticized Saudi Arabia over its continued military campaign in Yemen.

3. Palestinians hold a funeral for a 73-year-old woman who was shot and killed by Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank city of al-Khalil also known as Hebron in November.

4. Several Palestinians have been injured by the Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. 

5. Former Iraqi National Security Advisor Mowaffak al-Rubaie says almost ninety percent of the city of Ramadi has been liberated from the Daesh terrorist group.

6. Turkish police have clashed with protesters demonstrating against the army’s offensive in the country’s Kurdish-majority southeast. 

7. Fierce fighting is underway between security forces and the Taliban in the southern Afghan province of Helmand. 

8. Tunisia has extended for another two months a state of emergency imposed following last month’s bomb explosion which claimed the lives of 12 people.
