UK lawmakers approve airstrikes against Daesh in Syria.

Scores of Labour lawmakers defied their party leadership to side with the government in pushing through a parliamentary motion to bomb Daesh targets inside Syria. The UK parliament voted 397 to 223 in favor of authorizing further military action with RAF Tornadoes expected to fly from their base in Cyprus within hours of the historic vote. As our correspondent reports, anti war protesters accuse those who voted for further UK intervention of ‘endangering’ innocent civilians in Syria and back in the UK.
