Syria retakes strategic highway from ISIL

  1. The Syrian army retakes more areas from ISIL terrorists. A village near a strategic highway linking the cities of Damascus and Homs has been recaptured by government forces.
  2. The French police stage nearly 130 raids in several cities and mobilize thousands of security personnel as part of an ongoing state of emergency following the recent terror attacks in Paris.
  3. And a train derails near the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, leaving over a dozen people dead and 100 others injured.
  4. Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to find and punish those behind last month's plane crash which killed over two-hundred people in Egypt. Moscow has confirmed that the incident was caused by a terrorist attack.
