Israeli forces injure dozens Palestinians in WB

  1. Tensions continue to simmer in the occupied West Bank. Dozens of Palestinians have been injured in clashes with Israeli forces at a university in the city of Tulkarm. Clashes have also broken out in the city of al-Khalil where the Palestinians rallied to denounce the heightened Israeli aggression.
  2. Israeli forces have killed a Palestinian and wounded another following three separate attacks across the occupied territories. The Palestinian was shot dead after an alleged car-ramming incident near Nablus. A Palestinian woman was also shot and wounded during a stabbing attack near Bethlehem. 6 Israelis have been wounded in the attacks.
  3. Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters and allied army units have made fresh gains in their fight against forces loyal to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi. They have retaken strategic areas in a bid to advance on the port city of Aden. Separately, at least SIXTEEN pro-Hadi forces were killed in a bomb explosion in Ma’arib province.
  4. ISIL-affiliated terrorists have beheaded seven Shia Muslims in Afghanistan. The execution took place in Zabul province. Afghan police say the victims including three women and four men were kidnapped in Ghazni province. There’ve also been heavy clashes between ISIL affiliated militants and Taliban in Zabul.
  5. Iran’s defense minister says the Islamic Republic will never be intimidated by the United States’ Quote hollow threats. Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan says Americans know well that Iran has gained experiences in resisting the US aggression and excessive demands. Dehqan was responding to comments recently made by the U-S Secretary of Defense.
  6. In the Italian city of Bologna, clashes have erupted between police and people protesting a visit by right-wing leader Matteo Salvini. At least one police officer was injured in confrontations between the two sides. The protesters slammed Salvini for his racist and anti-migrant stance.
  7. Investigators say they are almost sure that a bomb blast has caused a Russian airliner to crash in Egypt last week. They say the noise heard in a cockpit recording was that of an explosion. All 224 people on board the Russian Metrojet flight heading for St. Petersburg died in the crash.
  8. Thousands likely to face travel chaos on MONDAY as the cabin crew of Europe’s biggest airline Lufthansa are set to go on a strike over retirement benefits and cost cuts. The walkout will ground nearly one thousand flights that could leave over a hundred thousand passengers stranded in Frankfurt, Duesseldorf and Munich.
