Americans hold protest over mistreatment of prisoners in New York

Rikers Island Correctional Facility, the prison located near New York City, has recently faced condemnation from rights activists for its mistreatment of prisoners and overuse of solitary confinement. A group of activists and former inmates gathered to denounce the prison authorities’ policies.
