Press TV has conducted an interview with Tim King, a Portland-based editor at Globalnewscentre.com, to get his views on the Saudi aggression against Yemen.

King says although the aggression has already left tens of thousands Yemenis displaced, the US will keep supporting its staunch ally, Saudi Arabia, in the war against its neighbor. He adds that the Riyadh monarchy might manage to get away with its deadly aggression mainly because of its alliance with Washington.

He criticizes US President Barack Obama for keeping mum on the matter and failing to criticize the Saudi regime for its attacks on Yemen, describing his silence as “ridiculous.”

The analyst adds that the high number of civilian casualties in Yemen has put Riyadh in the center of attention and it is going to face increasing pressure, even from some of its own allies.

King describes the situation in Yemen as a “dark cloud” that has rolled over the Arab country, saying Yemen has been suffering for years and the death of civilians is only changing things for the worse in the impoverished state.
