Palestinians commemorate the Deir Yassin Massacre

The Deir Yassin Massacre is one of the bloodiest Israeli crimes in Palestinian history

The Deir Yassin massacre took place on April 9th, 1948 when around 120 figures from the Zionist paramilitary groups Irgun Zvai Leumi and Lohamei Herut Israel attacked Deir Yassin village near Jerusalem. Over two hundred Palestinians were killed. The incident has never left the memory of the Palestinian people.

The Palestinians are commemorating the memory of the victims of the massacre through activities that presented Palestinian national issues. They recollected the Israeli crime telling the visitors of what had happened.

Important Palestinian figures including the leader of the Islamic movement, Sheikh Raed Saleh also attended the event. He said the rights of Palestinian people are not negotiable and that the Palestinian people will never forget Israeli massacre.”

When the massacre was over, a delegation of the international committee of the Red Cross in Palestine visited Deir Yassin on April 11th, 1948 and observed a total of more than 200 dead men, women and children.

The Palestinian people will never forget the massacre that occurred in Deir Yassin, this is the message they are telling the world today. No matter how much time will pass, this memory of the crime will be passed on from one generation to the next.
