Press TV has conducted an interview with Tony Gosling, an investigative journalist in London, to discuss the ongoing crisis in eastern Ukraine.

The commentator maintains that the US and its allies have remained deceitful and hypocritical when it comes to conflicts and crises.

The US and its allies have remained silent on the Israeli occupation of Palestine, while they decry the alleged Russian meddling in Ukraine, Gosling points out.

He also adds the US-led Western countries continue to disregard international law and norms, and are just pursuing their interests across the mainly Russian-speaking regions of troubled eastern Ukraine.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Gosling says a series of recent developments shows a growing rift between the US and its European allies, which have recently adopted a relatively flexible stance on the situation in eastern Ukraine.
