4 years ago, these were the scenes in Bahrain. An undeniable show of strength, defiance and revolution.
These are the scenes from Saturday, as the 4 year anniversary of the Bahraini revolution approaches. Neither the protests - nor the gas canisters have stopped.

The gas canisters may well have been British. The UK and Bahrain have close political, economic and military ties. Ties that have been continuously criticised. Activists say while Bahrainis continue to die while the fight for democracy, Britain is turning a blind eye.

At an event, attended by politicians, rights groups and Bahraini activists there was universal criticism that just last month, British foreign secretary Philip halmond said Bahrain is moving in the right direction.

10 Bahraini opposition figures - including an MP Who have all had their citizenship revoked were at the event. Some of whom have been tortured.

Despite what they've been through, Bahrainis here and at home, vow they will continue for as long as it takes to get their rights.
