Scores of people gathered at the Iranian embassy in Tokyo to congratulate the 36th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The Iranian ambassador to Japan delivered a speech, condemning the horrific actions taken by the ISIL terrorists. Dr. Reza Nazar Ahari reaffirmed Iran’s leading role in fighting terrorism and promoting Islamic values.

He ended his speech by talking about the long and friendly relation between Iran and Japan and expressed hope that the bilateral ties grow stronger in 2015.

Nazar Ahari told us that Tehran-Tokyo relations have been very promising over the past years.

Congratulatory messages were heard all around. Even some Japanese politicians attended the event to express their best wishes for the government and people of Iran.

In addition to the congratulatory messages, there were also messages of thanks for Iranian support after the ISIL killing of two Japanese hostages.

The celebration ended on a high note with everyone looking forward to a brighter future.

By the looks of all the business leaders and members of parliament congratulating Iran on its revolution day anniversary, it’s clear that ties are strong and that Iran is an important partner for Japan.
