Female protester killed by Egypt security forces in Alexandria

Egypt

In Egypt, regime crackdown on anti-government protesters continues with at least one protester dead on Friday.

A young female demonstrator was shot dead by security forces in the northern port city of Alexandria. The rally was called by the outlawed group, the Muslim Brotherhood, ahead of the fourth anniversary of a popular revolution that toppled long-time dictator Hosni Mubarak. Similar demonstrations have been held in the capital Cairo and other cities, including Kafar el-Sheikh in Nile Delta governorate.
