Over a dozen killed, 20 injured in bus stop shelling in Donetsk, Ukraine

In eastern Ukraine, shelling has killed at least 13 people and injured some twenty others in a Donetsk bus stop.

The Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Republic of Donetsk said the attack hit a tram and a bus in Bosse district. Meanwhile, at least ten Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in fighting over Donetsk airport in the past 24-hours, 6 of them on Thursday. Ukraine’s defense ministry said more than a dozen troops were also injured in the clashes that have left the airport in ruins. It also added that Ukrainian forces have now left the airport which has been the scene of intense fighting in the past days. The site is of strategic importance for both Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian militias.
