Tension between
police and protesters in Anaheim remains high after another day of
demonstrations in connection with a string of fatal police
shootings.
About nine
people were arrested Sunday afternoon after about 300 demonstrators gathered in
front of police headquarters to protest the officer-involved shootings,
according to KTLA.
Demonstrators
marched down Harbor Boulevard and Ball Road, briefly blocking traffic during a
tense moment between protesters and police.
Sunday's protest
was the latest in a series of demonstrations in Orange County's largest city in
the wake of the two fatal police shootings last weekend.
Manuel Diaz, 25,
was shot and killed by police July 21. Authorities have said the unarmed man was
avoiding arrest. A day later, Anaheim police fatally shot Joel Acevedo, 21, who
authorities said had fired on officers during a foot chase. LA

people were arrested on Wednesday, July 25 during the fourth day of clashes
between police and protestors over the shootings in Anaheim.

shootings have sparked an outcry from residents, who have taken to the city’s
streets several times in protest. On Tuesday, July 24 an estimated 1,000
protesters clashed with police outside a packed City Council meeting, prompting
officers to use less-than-lethal rounds to disperse the crowd.

was fueled when during a Saturday protest, a K9 dog attacked members in the
crowd. YouTube video shows an interview with a woman who was pushing her baby in
