Tighe Barry a Wall Street Protester in an interview with Press TV's
U.S. Desk on Tuesday said that May Day was a special day for everyone in the
United States because "actually May Day which is celebrated around the world was
started in the United States."
Barry continued that there were going to be strikes around the
country, "people are walking out of their jobs, people are stopping their work,
students are walking out of school, and we are saying 'No' to the corporations;
that they can't control our lives in total."
He added, "It is our time. This is the American spring. We've have
taken our cue from the Arab spring, and we've decided that we too need to have a
voice in our government that's been exclusive. Our government has been taken
over by corporations and we are going to call a stoppage to all this and today
is the day of the new American spring."
