Obama blasts right wing Fox News

US President Barack Obama has denounced the far-right television network, Fox News, for an adversarial stance against his administration.
Speaking on America's CNBC, the US president slammed the hard-line TV channel, noting, "I've got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration ... that's a pretty big megaphone. You'd be hard pressed if you watched the entire day to find a positive story about me on that front."
Obama said he was "generally positive" about the press coverage of his activities, though admitting that it was "very hard for him to swallow" some of the media charges.
"We welcome people who are asking us some tough questions. I think I've probably been as accessible as any president in the first six months…..I think that actually the reason people have been generally positive about what we've been trying to do is people feel as if I'm available and willing to answer questions and we haven't been trying to hide the ball."
The US cable TV channel, available to over 100 million Americans, has been relentlessly bashing Democrats since the 2008 November elections that led to the sweeping victory of the Democratic Party in the presidential and Senate elections.
Obama's harsh overture to Fox News comes in the wake of the channel's founder, Rupert Murdoch's remarks in which the media mogul had called the US president 'dangerous' for America's future.
The Australian-born publisher magnate established the channel in 1996 as part of the Fox Entertainment Group, itself an auxiliary of Murdoch's News Corporation.
This year Rupert Murdoch received the National Human Relations Award from the American Jewish Committee.
