Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast says the West’s declining power heralds a new era in the world and the fall of the US-led dictators.

“Popular uprisings against subservient rulers established by the West and [nations’] efforts to achieve independence, show that this is the end for dictators affiliated to the US and the Zionist regime [of Israel],” Mehmanparast said on Thursday.

He added that economic and social crises in Europe and the US are the result of wrong policies of countries which claim to be managing the world.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed the importance of taking informed measures toward regional developments to prevent the West from slowing down the popular movement of the Islamic Awakening.

Mehmanparast warned against US-Israeli plots to sow discord among regional countries and cause a split between Shia and Sunni Muslims, urging vigilance against such conspiracies.

He described as “sensitive” the political situation in Muslim countries and called on Muslims to make use all their potentials and remain committed to values and principles [of Islam] to weather the current sensitive situation.
