The head of Britain’s foreign spying apparatus MI6 has paid a secret visit to the Occupied Palestinian Territories to warn Israeli authorities against attacking Iran, local media reported.
Two week ago, MI6 chief Sir John Sawers visited Israel to deliver a clear message to warmongering Zionist authorities that Britain is opposed to an Israeli adventurism as far as the issue of Iran’s nuclear energy program is concerned, British media reported.
Recently, Zionist regime authorities have stepped up their rhetoric against the Islamic Republic of Iran, threatening the country with military action to halt its peaceful nuclear energy program.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and its war minister Ehud Barak have been pushing the UK and U.S. to take a tougher line against Iran.
This is while that Iran, as an active member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and a signatory to the nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT), has time and again stressed peaceful nature of its nuclear energy program. Moreover, multiple reports by the IAEA have confirmed non-diversion of Iran’s nuclear activities and the body is constantly watching various stages of the country’s nuclear fuel enrichment activities through its 24-hour surveillance cameras and also its snap inspections of the nuclear facilities.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu has failed, in a phone conversation in July, to provide clear answers to British Prime Minister David Cameron’s questions about his intentions towards Iran.
During his visit, Sir John is believed to have met with Netanyahu and Barak, as well as a number of Israeli security and diplomatic authorities, and stressed his country’s belief that there is still time for diplomatic talks to try to resolve the dispute.
Zionist regime of Israel has so far failed to form an alliance against Iran with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton saying on Monday that Washington would not set a deadline in further talks with Iran, adding there was still time for diplomacy to work.
