Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has dismissed Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov replacing him with his Chief of Staff Vladimir Makey, according to his press office.
Lukashenko's office did not immediately explain the Monday’s decision, which follows a diplomatic row with Sweden.
Sweden has openly supported Belarusian opposition and human rights groups while also attempting to establish links between Minsk and European institutions.
