Bahraini regime forces attack demonstrations south of the capital Manama with teargas canisters and rubber bullets, injuring several protesters.

The protests were held in the village of Sitra on Saturday night.

The demonstrators once again called on the ruling Al Khalifa family to relinquish power.

They also demanded that all the political prisoners be released.

The sheikdom has been the scene of popular anti-regime demonstrations since February 2011.

Scores of people have been killed and many others arrested during the revolution.

Bahrainis hold King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa responsible for the deaths and arrests.
