Mohamed Morsi has officially been sworn in as Egypt’s first freely-elected president more than one year after the country’s revolution toppled former ruler Hosni Mubarak.

Morsi, who was announced winner of the presidential runoff on June 24, was sworn in the Constitutional Court on Saturday.

In a speech on Friday, Morsi pledged to achieve the goals of the Egyptian revolution.
